Handgun Martial Artists Center: HMAC is different than other Warriorschool courses in that it is an ongoing martial art, with its own curricula, certificates and ranks founded by its first grand master Jeffrey Prather in 2009. HMAC has been recognized as an authentic martial art by such prestigious organizations such as Shinja Martial Arts University.
The essence of HMAC is defined by its declaration which is recite at the onset of each class: We keep and bear arms affirming our inalienable, Creator endowed rights, training in Handgun Martial Arts neither for sport nor competition, but the refinement of the virtues of the Citizen Warrior, establishing Justice and always with the aid of Divine Providence, in defense of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of happiness.
HMAC classes regularly train off range, facing outwards on photo realistic, wall mounted targets utilizing plastic, rubber or unloaded and brightly flagged, cleared handguns to practice various techniques, and occasionally convene on range to practice these techniques in traditional live fire.
Because HMAC is an ongoing practice, students achieve a level of proficiency unavailable via limited courses. Since this is a non-competition, combat reality based martial art, HMACers as they are called, are able to focus beyond advanced handgun techniques to personal development as martial artists and protectors.
Beginners always welcome.
